Introduction:
A fluorescence spectrophotometer is an instrument used for measuring the fluorescence emission light of samples, characterized by high sensitivity, high resolution, and a wide range of applications.

Principles:
The working principle of a fluorescence spectrophotometer is based on the fluorescence phenomenon. When a sample is irradiated by excitation light, it absorbs energy and emits fluorescence with a longer wavelength than the excitation light. The fluorescence spectrophotometer excites the sample with an excitation light source, collects the emitted fluorescence light, and uses optical elements such as gratings to decompose the fluorescence signal into spectra of different wavelengths. Finally, it detects the intensity of the fluorescence signal using a photomultiplier tube or photodiode to measure the fluorescence intensity and fluorescence spectrum of the sample.

Applications:
Fluorescence spectrophotometers are widely used in fields such as bio medicine, pharmaceutical analysis, environmental monitoring, and materials science. In biomedicine, they can be used to analyze the content and properties of biological molecules such as DNA, proteins, and fluorescent dyes. In environmental monitoring, they can detect pollutants such as organic matter and heavy metals in water. In materials science, they can study the fluorescence properties of materials and characterize their structures.
